Kendriya Vidyalaya Gooty has started working in 1993 in a temporary building in the Railway campus. Later on in the year 2010 the school has been shifted to its own newly constructed building. In the year 2011-12 class XI started with science stream. In the Year 2023 Vidyalaya selected under PM SHRI Schools.
New building of Vidyalaya is situated on Pattikonda Main Road, near Market yard Gooty. Vidyalaya is about 2 KMs from Gooty Railway Station, & Bus Stand 3 KMs. It is single section school.
